Hi all,
Do any of you caravanners tow through the centre of Barmouth? I know you can come from the other side from Harlech, but is a bit of a dog leg! The part that concerns me is turning right at the railway crossing.
many thanks x

I don't think you'd have any problems with that right turn, but if it's a real worry why not take the previous left (before the one-way system) past the harbour, then turn right onto Beach Road and over the level crossing?

You have two options. Harlech route is narrow and you need to have your whits about you but is OK, just take it slow there are a few places where it really narrows and you need to give yourself time to stop.
The other way is to go through Barmouth. The route through town is not bad at all. Looks narrow but all the turns are wide and with it being one way you can use the whole width. The right by the railway is more than wide enough. The issue is just before you get into Barmouth on the cliff road, there are two very tight pinch points with poor visibility around tight corners. Just slow it down and again be ready to stop if you need to. Going out from Barmouth is actually worse as the cliff face has some nasty overhangs on the pinch points, you will see them they are covered in the paint scrapings from vans and trucks.
Dont let it put you off though, beautiful coast and well worth a visit. It is not difficult just do it slowly.
