Hi folks does anyone know of a fairly local campsite (50 miles radius of Wolverhampton) that offers a lot of things to do at this time of the year. I know it's asking a bit much but just need to get away in the van !
TIA

Hi Pixie, yes I have looked at Chester sites and the one I particularly liked does not open until march, but will keep looking, thank you for your reply !!
Im not sure what you mean by 'a lot to do'. On site or off?
I have mentioned this site a few times recently. Carrog station camp site. Steam/heritage diesel on the door step to Langollen. Good pub very close. Lots to do in Langollen. The river, canal, aquaduct and also Chirk Castle. Hiking too of course and Bala etc not far away.
I read about it in a review on here and enjoyed a week last summer.

Thornleigh Park Farm near Chester is great, but nothing to do on site, plenty to do within a few miles - the zoo, Chester Oaks, the city walls, Ellesmere Port boat museum to name a few. Train to Liverpool with its many attractions.
No idea about all singing all dancing sites as we don't use them.
Hi Folks
Quick update, went to Carrog Station campsite near Llangollen for a few days, survived sleeping in the awning !! Nice little site with a nice pub just over the river bridge and plenty to see and do in the area !! Will return.
