Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Give the site a call - explain that mobile phone reception is vital to you and ask the question. I've done this with a number of sites in Scotland and the north of England over the years when my Mum wasn't in great health and got a lot of help, including sites taking emergency calls for me and re-directing them to the rally HQ I was on at the time so I could be contacted over the rally's safety radio. I'm fairly certain you should be okay at Glenmore site as friends have used mobiles when out of the hill and in difficulties but not sure of current network coverage.
I strongly advise you to do this regardless as what any of the networks say about coverage should be taken with a large pinch of salt - that's why I have accounts on three different networks and still can't get a signal when their coverage says I should.

Across the road from the site is the Forest visitor centre. Usually get a signal there, I am O2. Poor reception on the site itself, although I have got a signal when I stood on a picnic table at the top end nearest the road, lol. There is a payphone on the site itself, so you can keep in contact with family. Don't know about Vodafone though.
Yes. I am on O2 and the reception on site was poor. There is a call box close by, at the time of using it was full of midgies. So you don't stay on too long!
The High Range site in Aviemore had good reception for most of the big networks. Just not as picturesque.

Thanks all
Managed to speak to them today

It's because the site is on the bottom of the glen floor with no line of sight to a mast. Pretty common for us: the C&CC site at Culzean (near Ayr) has little or no signal for the same reason.
But mobile phone might work with MiFi - is that what it's called? I've read about it & talked to folk who swear by it.
Hi Fiona, we have a portable router tplink, same as a mifi. They need a phone signal to work. No phone signal then no mifi. Unless they are better with weak signals. Not used it yet in a bad reception area. Unless your meaning use site wifi and phone through that? Not tried that either :-)

Sorry, I don't know offhand if the site at Glenmore has wifi (free or to buy). If they do have it, it may only be strong enough to use standing outside the office. Best to ring if it's critical for you.
