Which site would you stay at, Thybergh Country Park or Ferry Boat Fisheries CS? About the same price I think. Want to be near the Don Gorge.

Think I would try pilgrim fathers site probably = distance . Thyrbergh ok but don’t know about site security.?

Thanks, thought it was a bit further away though. Plus there is only 6 amps of electricity, not enough. Think we will try Ferry Boat Fisheries.

Don Gorge? never heard of it and I live local,
I've googled it and we call it Sprotbrough falls nice pub meals at the boat inn but prefer the Crown at Barnborough, Barnborough also has the cat and man church.

I'm not a C&CC member so would choose Thrybergh Park plus its easy to get into, give them a ring I think they now have a resident warden (or had).

Both are handy for Sprotborough falls (Don Gorge), Conisbrough Castle, Wentworth Woodhouse, Brodsworth Hall etc etc

Now I feel a trip coming on, first near Grantham, Ferry Boat and Bradgate, Charnwood Forest on the way home. Can't go until 10th April.

A plus for Thrybergh Park is that it has a nice café and its a nice walk around the reservoir, I used to fish there a few years ago.
Another minus for the ferryboat is if the winds in the wrong direction you'll get the smells from the sewerage works downstream
