The time has come to look for a seasonal pitch, the days of traveling hundreds of miles per trip, and thousands of miles over the years has for me come to an end.
Although there are many ways to search the internet including looking on the ukcamp site search feature, there is no better way than asking all you folks to give me your experience of finding the ideal seasonal pitch.
The area we are interested is Abersoch and Anglesy North Wales.
We are only interested in these 2 areas and have plenty of time to follow up on your suggestions, because we intend to go seasonal in 2019.
we have looked briefly, and some sites are so restrictive in what you can do, and ideally,we would like the seasonal pitch to include storage, as in left on site all year.
Looking forward to your help and suggestions

Sorry can’t help with suggestions but have done seasonal so a few pointers to consider:
Cost, for the summer season you may have to spend 50+ nights to make it cost effective.
You may not be allowed to leave your alarm on so your insurance goes up.
We had to disconnect all the services every time so wasn’t just arrive and kettle on.
We had to leave our hitchlock key with the site and caravan identity tag, not very secure.
Site open during the day to anyone who wants to wander in!

Just a thought, find secure storage in the area you want and take the van out as and when you want to, or find a site that does storage and pulls your van to a prebooked site, you have to be a bit more organised but it’s cheaper and more secure for when you aren’t there.

We have a seasonal pitch in Somerset and love it. Yes we disconnect the water, gas and electric but it takes my husband a couple of minutes to flick a switch, connect to tap and turn gas on. Don't let this put you off. Yes you probably need to use the van 70 odd nights to make it pay but that is a small price to pay not to have to tow. yes they have the keys, quite happy with that as ant emergencies can be dealt with. Ours has security beams and cameras so no worry about safety. I know sites are different but I wouldn't change ours for anything. Go.on do it, you won't regret it.

We arein our 4th year.
Look for an area, try out campsites.
If you get a seasonal pitch use it lots - it evens outthe cost and you get to know the other seasonal people.

As a different option to seasonal (as some sites are really expensive) we site store.

The owner stores the caravans in his barn and then when owners book to go up he pulls out the vans and puts it on a pitch.

We pay for yearly storage and then £16 per night including water and electricity when we go.
