Ok good folks of UKCampsites. Looking at going to SW Wales again this year. Like to go to different sites, can't decide between Redlands near Little Haven or Tretio near St David's. Daughter loves surfing, wife likes a few shops/villages, I'm easy but like a cold beer (caravan or pub) after a long day.... Decisions?????
Any thoughts?
------------- I went to the top of the mountain...and looked over the other side!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I can't comment on the specific sites you mention but don't think you'll be disappointed with either Little Haven or St David's as places to stay.
If it has any bearing on your decision, and assuming that you'll be travelling via Haverfordwest (as most do), just be aware that the roads to St David's are classed as A roads the whole way (albeit with a few bends for the last 15 miles and one long steep hill). The journey to Little Haven includes at least 10 miles of very twisty and sometimes narrow B road, followed by a few country lanes. It's not unmanageable, just something to bear in mind if you find that sort of thing a bit daunting.
It's run by a friend of my family so I'm a bit biased, but would definitely recommend this site if you decide on St David's. It's located at the top of the cliff overlooking Caerfai Bay, the views are spectacular and it's a fairly easy walk down to the beach.
Hi,
You could look at Newgale for the surfing.
If you are coming from the St Davids end be aware you come down a very steep hill into Newgale.
Not sure if it is a place for you, but reveiws below.

Greg
