We're looking to go away for up to 2 weeks in august and wanting to go to 2-4 different places (a few nights if possible at each). The thing is where do we go? how do we arrange / choose sites? do we stick to club sites (we're members of both caravan club and camping and caravan club)
We really have no idea where to start, any help appreciated.
------------- Damned if I do...
Damned if I don't!!!!
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
look at what area u want to go to, what u want to do/visit. beach, theme parks, zoo.how far u want to travel. when u travel to different sites u loose a day traveling and setting up again, ages of the kids ? ask them what they want to do.
Hi ,
As Steve points out research an area, give your kids the pick of two sites with interest to them and two sites for you.
With the internet now it is so easy to plan a touring holiday, most sites give details of nearby attractions etc.
I would say with the massive increase in camping of all sorts, once you have made your choices I would prebook, a lot of sites are already booked solid over that preiod.
Hope you all have a great time.
Regards,
Greg

Both clubs not only have "Club Sites" but Certificated Locations/Sites (limited to five caravans/motorhomes), and hold Rallies/Meets, and in the case of the C&CC, Temporary Holiday Sites, many of which are held during school holidays and might not need advance booking, other than perhaps for EHU where available.
