That must be pretty new then, we camped at St Maxime a few years back and found the cycle ride into the town rather scary in places.

I am afraid we didn’t like the area around Antibes, Nice, Monaco at all. Very busy and touristy, too many people shops restaurants. We cycled along the coast to Nice but wasn’t our cup of tea at all.

We do find it very busy, but for the 3 or 4 days we stay, it's good for a change. Then we escape back up the way.

The cycle track starts from the Grimaud side of Ste Maxime passing the campsites towards Port Grimaud. I don't like Nice Cannes area either, all roads, railways and steep pebbly beaches as I remember.

Back in the uk, in Derbyshire. As well as the Tissington and High Peak trails you also have the Manifold Valley, (camping at Hulme End) and the fabulous Monsal trail with its reopened tunnels and viaduct running to Bakewell.

Derbyshire again

Barn farm, start Monsel Trail at Bakewell, or Beech Crft Farm, and start at the other end come down hill lol.
Plenty of other good sites between.

Carsington to pick up high peak, and tissington trails. also more sites in the area to pick.

Great area for cycles.
