We stayed at a site in Addingham last year and it was literally on the river. The site is mainly statics and a few cottages plus 2 touring pitches. The pitches are small and there is no playpark however its straight onto the river and lovely pubs and playpark a 10min walk away in Addingham village. I can't remember the name of the site but if you google it i'm sure it will come up. We took a kayak and it was great fun.
If no luck with that one i bet there are a few others near there with direct access to the river.

Riverside site at Bentham near Lancaster.
