Never found it a problem and never ever not been able to book the sites and times we wanted. Used to belong to both clubs but dropped the CAMHC one as so many weekends always seemed to be prebooked preventing us getting a full week. Probably due to not having to pay deposit
I always phoned the campsite directly when I was a member because the website never seemed to tally with the actual availability.
A mate of mine has just booked into a C&CC site for next week and tells me it was all booked up on grass pitches and he had to pay extra for a hard standing for his campervan. Be interesting to know if it is actually fully booked up mid week and during term time.
I totally agree that is is not as good as the CMC system but it only takes a few extra seconds to check availability doing a pretend booking. It looks as if the C&CC are even less inclined to invest in IT than the CMC!!! Perhaps the C&CC likes to give the impression of being more rustic

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Just phone the campsite and start by saying that you are a member of the C&CC.
OR send them an email from your own email account (gmail, hotmail etc.)
The phone is quicker. The email gives you the security of knowing there is a written record of the booking.
just tried a couple of sites in the north east using the brief info I know regarding your unit, assumed you where 2+2? and on a hard standing pitch in September and came up fine yup you could go to barnard castle for the weekend in September along with several other sites using the same dates

Agree with you....I find the C&CC site booking system harder to use.
Are you accessing the Web site via an apple device or Windows? I experienced problems a couple of years ago when my unit at 4m long was always too big. A warden told me to always use my laptop and not my iPad . I can't remember what explanation she gave me thou!
Not sure whether there is still an issue as I still use laptop to make bookings and not had any issues since.
After one disastrous booking which left me seriously out of pocket, I used to just phone the site and ignored the booking system completely. If any site queried this, just said my Internet connection is so poor it drops out before I can complete a booking!

I've never had problems booking on my laptop or tablet,it books me in and works out the price, the only thing I find annoying it doesn't remember the van details
