We booked and gave our credit card details for a campsite in Snowdonia online only to find out afterwards that the booking was only ‘provisional’ I’ve just had an email to say that they can’t accept it. No reason given, I’m assuming they are full as this is for the B.H weekend. Our 2 alternatives are now full. I would not have booked and paid if I had known this. We have a caravan and 3 dogs. We are looking for a quiet site ( but realise that everywhere will be busy because of the B.H) with decent showers, an EHU and preferably close to a lake or the sea as our dogs love swimming. Nothing else needed. The prices I have seen have been shocking, I know it’s a B.H but £40 + a night plus paying for showers is crazy, although we will pay it if we can find the right site. Any recommendations would be very welcome. Thank you.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Have you tried Rynys, a few miles outside Betws-y-Coed? They are dog-friendly and pitching arrangements are informal, it's not regimented. Facilites are kept clean. The river at Betws might be good for the dogs as long as it's not too high. Check them out on the camp site search - I've only been there with a tent so don't know how caravan prices compare.
