Doesn't it rather spoil the camping experience? I have had some really interesting chats with people in and around the wash blocks!
Believe me, I had a rather panicky time this year, after drinking some dodgy water , when I wished the toilets were right next to my tent. I was too frightened to zip up my sleeping bag in case I couldn't get out. I was considering sleeping in the toilets. A private facility would have been ideal. As for chats, that was the last thing I needed.

😂😂😂😂
I don’t think it spoils it at all. Stayed 10 nights at Kelling Heath this year and used the communal facilities, just a bit nicer to always have a clean toilet!
Also, the ones in Holland have under floor heating... useful for drying clothes on an airer when it’s pouring down.
And it keeps the wife happy!!! 😀

thank you everyone for these. I have just purchased a micro camper so able to take 90 yr old mum away for a day visit (i'll sleep in the tent still ) but the thought of en-suite toilets mean we may be able to do a weekend :)
Lots of overseas suggestions in a thread going back 5 years - but for anyone going to North Devon then Smytham Holiday Park has these individual en suite facilities too.
