tell you what bob I will pay your membership fees for you, if you tell me there is an area you want to go to but cant find a club site/cs in that area

I will be quite open and honest.
And they are a few others on here that do a lot of nights.
This year booked but not completed i have a total of 47 nights away.
Total coast is £870.50
Big sites costing most.
Most expensive £217 for 7 nights.
Cheapest with shower toilet £8 a night.
I think i get value for money if under 20 a night is the ave over the year.
All sites toilets showers ehu etc.
So when divided by 47 it makes our ave 18.50 a night.
I can live with that.

Get your purse out as I am searching
Perhaps I should have said no 'suitable' sites. That is to say, decent pitches, a toilet, and EHU. I am not too fussed about the facilities as long as they are clean.
I once booked the C&CC site at Corfe Castle and when I got there they offered me a sloping pitch on a dry mud bed under trees with roots sticking out. I got my money back and went to Norden Farm a couple of miles up the road. Cost a couple of quid more but had lovely plush pitches.
I also look for campsites within walking distance of the places I want to visit and finding suitable club sites or CS's with toilets and EHU is not always possible. I gather for instance that the Cheddar Club site is about 6 miles or so away from Cheddar Village and the Gorge, whereas there are two non-club sites within a 10 minute walk and one cost me £12 a night with EHU.
The Devizes C&CC site is about 4 miles from Devizes.
One can always pitch in a field and pee in the hedgerow but that's not what I expect when having paid my membership fee...even if you pay it for me
So...find me a club site or CS anywhere near Bath or Bradford on Avon...
...do you want my address to send the cheque to

I have never paid 20 quid for a campsite in my life. £16 would be my absolute maximum and I would need a rush of blood to the head to pay that.
Soooo... 4 x £16 = £64
4 x £10 + £39 = £79 I know what I would be doing Marg
Incidentally, when you sign me up to the C&CC could you make it the paper membership please so I can have the magazine to read...that will cost you £45 plus another £10 admin/joining fee if you pay by debit/credit card...thank you.
(I thought it was illegal to charge for using debit/credit cards now)
Pinewood Wells next to sea.
Aug 4th 5 nights = £235.
£47.00 a night.
CCC West Runton Norfolk
Aug 4th 5 nights = £249.
£50.00 a night.
Mablethorpe
Grange leisure Park
Aug 4th 5 nights = £160.00
£32.00 a night
Mablethorpe CCC Site
Aug 4th 5 nights = £209.75
£41.95 a night.
All hard standing commerical site at Mablethorpe as loads more to do on it.
And some CS Site are now charging well past £20 plus a night!!!
The club is now charging more on the main sites with no entertainment etc, than some3 commercial sites with entertainment.
I can find many a more example of that.
Think the clubs need to wake up a bit.
But that is not going to happen while they cash in, i am affraid.
Club membership benifit is getting harder to justify each year now.
PS Stuart Fair play my friend on the number of nights you have enjoyed.
And that goes for anyone else who can manage so many nights away.
One day maybe one day!!!

We came out of caravan club as we didn’t feel we got value for money, we have found quite a few beautiful non caravan club sites now that are good value.
Low Hall has two fields one is caravan club the other non caravan club.
I don’t agree with all the additional charges on cl type sites after all these have the essentials. People paying more are encouraging sites to put the price up. I agree if you are joining a caravan club they should restrict the campsite charges but they don’t. These sites that charge separate are so greedy. We just avoid them. There are plenty around we have found are cleaner and more beautiful. Some sites you are so squashed it’s unreal, double the price with the same facilities and no view! Rant over and well done to the sites that aren’t overpriced and beautiful.
I bet we all look forward to seeing more value sites posted on here.
Has EHU but no showers or hot water...but what's wrong with heating water in a kettle and having a good old stand up all over wash inside the tent or caravan...and some caravans have hot water and showers anyway. £6 per person.
Denfurlong Farm Chedworth, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire... varies between £10 and £15 a night with £3.50 for EHU
Red Lion Inn Norton, Gloucestershire...£9 to £11 with £2 for EHU
Lower Lode Inn Forthampton, Gloucestershire...£14 with EHU
