Just returned from a weeks stay at The Grange Court site in the little village of Cliburn, about 4 miles SE of Penrith. This is an absolute gem of a site, handy enough for popping into the Lake District ( Ullswater is only 15 minutes away ) but far enough removed from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hot spots. The site is a beautiful 1 acre flat lawned area with fantastic views towards Blencathra and Skiddaw. There are electric hook ups, toilet and shower, everything you want really. The owners are extremely friendly and sociable and do anything they can to make your stay enjoyable. An added bonus is that the site is well placed for exploring the Eden Valley, full of gorgeous chocolate box villages and virtually tourist and traffic free, a wonderful place to roam. Currently only £12 a night, including electrics, this is great value for money, we will be returning at the earliest opportunity as we loved this place.

What outfit did you have? Always useful to know for fellow campers. I see it’s a CL OF CMC.

DID you post a review?

Unfortunately it's not an adults only site so we wouldn't be interested even at £12.00 per night fully inclusive of electric hook up and no extra charge for an awning. We've been on many sites and CL's where kids are allowed and quite often they break that promise of peace and tranquility.

Welcome to UKCS.
As Lorfal says, please post a review on the UKCS site listing (just copy and paste your post above). We won't remember the name of the site or the title of your message next year when we need to know, so your compliments will just be wasted.
