Hi Guys, I want to book a week on a campsite next summer and really could do with some recommendations. It's just me & my other half (and our Berghaus Air 4XL tent). My other half leans more to the luxury side of things, so looking for a campsite with good quality facilities, electric hookups, and bookable in advance with decent sized pitches & preferrably adults only (we have kids but now grown up and we enjoy a bit of P&Q on our trips). Locationwise we were thinking about somewhere on the South Coast (East or West) would consider areas such as S & W Wales, somewhere with a bit of a view or a wow factor. I do realise there is a Campsite Search Facility on here (which I am trawling through), but I am a great believer in recommendations. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks David

Fishguard Bay Resort might be a bit far west for you, and is not adults only - but it has fantastic views, being on a clifftop, and the facilities are absolutely spotless. There aer statics, lodges and a couple of pods, also tent and touring pitches with hook-up. It has a site shop, visitors lounge with bookshelf and games, microwave in washing-up room, also games room and dvd hire. https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2069
Aha, I am literally checking out the Back of Beyond website and reviews. It loooks really nice - only slight concern is some people say it's close to busy A31 and can be some road noise (even at night). Is it worth worrying about, because most people say it is very tranquil there? Thanks for the recommendation
It is off the A31 but down a fairly long lane - have a look at google maps. We camped at Shamba which is nearer the road and I don't recall being bothered by road noise.

I don't know the site at all but road (or any!) noise is far more noticeable in a tent at night than it is in a caravan or MH. If a reviewer mentions noise and their unit has "solid walls", then it'll be pretty loud in a tent with canvas walls.
