Hi Everbody
Im wondering if somebody could help me,Im looking to go camping in august 2019 my son is 15yrs so its got to be this time,Myself and my wife.
We would like to be close enough to walk to a beach but not a rowdy place,we have camped before for many years but my wife decided a few years ago abroad was the way to go,But now im trying to coax her back to camping as we have a lot of good gear and its a shame to not to use it.
Good toilet block and showers would help me persuade her lol.
Im open to any help as ive been looking for ages and cant get anywhere as there is so much choice,I was hoping to find a nice place from you good people.
many thanks julian

Have a look at Seadown in Charmouth. It's a quiet site (no clubhouse etc) and it's a flat level walk directly from their site alongside the river down to Charmouth beach where you'll find a beach cafe. The village itself has a couple of pubs, chippy, cafe, bakery and convenience store.
We went twice last year (July and August Bank Holiday weekend). I think we paid £25 p.n. in August which included EHU and awning. It's probably a similar price although prices are based on 2 adults so you'll have an additional charge for your 15 yr old.

Take a look at Highlands End near West Bay, Dorset. It does have a bar but it is more of a restaurant than a club house. I can highly recommend the home made steak and kidney pie, chips and veg.
It has an indoor swimming pool and a few other fitness things (in case you had the pie and chips). Fantastic views as it is on the clifftops overlooking West Bay. Walks along the cliffs in either direction and down to the beach, or the beach and harbour town of West bay.
