can any one recommend a nice site near chester near A55 if poss please . we have a twin axle caravan and just want it has a stop for a couple of nights. only need EHU.THANKS..

Wirral country park is nice if your a camc member approx. 15 mins from chester

There’s one near Cheshire Oaks too but I don’t know what it’s like.

There are four good park and rides round Chester so you don’t have to park in town.

Thornleigh Park Farm is good, near a park and ride and very reasonably priced.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club Site at Cheshire Oaks is called Chester Fairoaks. It is a typical CMC site with good facilities and a short walk from Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village. It is about 15 minutes from Chester and just a few minutes off the M53 motorway. As a result the background traffic noise is quite noticeable but it is extremely handy to get to! I have stayed on it twice, even though we don’t live far away, as I needed somewhere to stay in the caravan while we were having building work done at home!

Birch Bank Farm is nice and level as I recall, not much traffic noise; facilities fairly basic but if in a caravan for a couple of nights should be fine. Close to the canal if you fancy cycling into town, open farmland around.

Thanks everyone, I think we are staying 4-5 nights at the Wirral C.M.C.S.looks good and thought we could do a trip over the Mersey...should be fun..

The Wirral Country Park Site is in a great location almost right on the Wirral Way which is great for walking and cycling. We took my mum on the Mersey Ferry last year when she was visiting and she really enjoyed it. You can use Tesco boost with your Clubcard vouchers to buy your tickets.
