Do you mean sites that charge per person? I think you will find that caravan sites usually charge for 2 or "all". I don't suppose they normally expect only 1 person, but there are plenty of reasonably priced sites.

Carlton Grange in carlton near Helmsley often have solo travellers and are dog friendly with some fab walks along the Cleveland way . very reasonable as well

yeah its only another 3 1/2 miles walk away! about an hr or so away on foot
