Has anyone ever experienced issues booking onto sites in Scotland with 3 dogs?
We have just decided to get a new puppy but wondered if a lot of sites limit you to 2 dogs?

Can't comment on Scotland specifically, but Caravan and Motorhome Club don't seem to have a max no of dogs stipulated, and dogs welcome at all their Club sites. Privately run CL sites policy varies from site to site.
Friends with three (or more!) dogs regularly visit Camping & Caravan Club sites without issues, but they do have variable rules and some sites are restricted (think that may be where cliffbrown got his 3 limit from).
I generally avoid private sites that charge per dog (even with only one dog!) as inevitably they seem to charge 'extra' for everything and then the per night charge starts looking very expensive compared to a club site!
Good luck and enjoy your dogs.

yes, blair athol castle site refused us with 3 dogs. plenty other sites available. all club sites have no issues with any number of dogs, north alves near elgin has a a great dog walk on site. we often take daughters dogs as well, but we recently lost our old boy so travel with 4 dogs .
Last year I stopped at Yellowcraig CAMC site at North Berwick . I started to think that dogs were compulsory! Very few people had less than two, and some had as many as six. Not a bad site - a bit off the beaten track, but with an adjacent beach and plenty of walks.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
It's not far from you but the Linwater site near East Calder is great for dogs. It has a good off-road dog walk and a footpath through the woods to the canal and aqueduct.
Another shout for Silvercraigs - they specifically say they don't limit the number, but they must be on a lead on site. The woods behind are great for off lead walks.
We also like Woodlands at Carnoustie - immaculate site, the park next door is handy. Their website has a pawprint logo with "dog friendly spot" - I've not seen that before.
We're in C&CC but rarely stay on Club sites - it limits us far too much and there are so many sites that are equally high standard. Best advice, as has been said, is to phone & check. Three Rottweilers might be less welcome than 3 Cockapoos though...
The Paddock Touring Park in Wolsingham Co Durham doesn't have a restriction on the number of dogs, although they must be kept on leads. Plenty of walks from site. Good stop off point when heading to Scotland from the South.
Just back from Drumroamin, south of Newton Stewart in Galloway. There's an annual dog agility event there soon, vans with 4 dog crates each were pitching up. Dog walking off site & an immaculate campsite. No extra for the dogs or awning.
