Hi can anyone recommend a site that has enough for two families with kids both 12 and 15, our friends are meeting us half way we live in Cornwall and they live in Oxfordshire.
The trouble is they (kids) want a pool and other activities otherwise their Boorrrred.
We normally go to Home farm but having gone 3 years in a row so we need a change
Breen is not my thing anyway, and some reviews from other websites there is mention that some campers are a bit lively and enjoy a drink or 20 until the early hours and theft of equipment..hmmm
I have been searching for quite a while now on this site on google any alternatives in Somerset or East Devon?
Am I missing a gem any tips? thank in advance.

There's no pool at Warren Farm but there is a public pool in Brean with slides etc. There's also the fun fair, adventure golf and arcades as well as the activities on Warren Farm itself. Warren Farm is a favourite of ours (my two are 10 and 13), it's only an hour down the road for us so ideal for a quick weekend getaway. We all know some campers can be a bit rowdy but I can't say it's worse than any other similar sites and I've never personally heard of any thefts. There's a lot of seasonal pitches so it can get a bit cliquey in the cabaret room of an evening. It's not the kind of place you go for peace and tranquillity but its worth a shot.
Another option would be Mill Farm just outside Bridgewater. Given a choice of the two though I'd go for Warren Farm every time

Thanks for the advice, I didn't notice there was no pool at Warren Farm, I think it's going to be too full on for my taste and I know my friends will moan about it even though they want to go.
Mill Farm is at least a good indicator as I have been there before myself and is probably my least favourite campsite so Warren Farm has something going for it.

Try mill farm, fidington. Pub, indoor/outdoor pool, lots local to do and not far from minhd and all there local attractions.
Thanks Leeroy but Mill farm has been done before, have a good time at Trevornick in August.

Looking to see how 'expensive' is expensive. So if looking to go this year, for August (well summer holidays time) I priced it up for us:
2 Adults
3 children
tent with car
3 nights (no EHU, no WiFi)
£204
Anyway it includes entry to the 'River Dart Country Park' at £10.90 person each day. If we did visit we could get our money's worth. However another year!!

I did the same for the end of May that was £201 for 3 nights a bit pricey at £67 per night.

I didnt rate Yeatherdige that highly. I felt like an intruder on a private party, lots of regulars who fence themselves in behind their wind breaks. The pool is really not very exciting, unless it has changed in the last few years.
River Dart much more enjoyable
