As some of you will know Hoburne Cotswold decided to stop taking campers and tourers a couple of years ago. This was a big downer for us as it's only 20 mins away and was ideal for those last minute weekenders. I also know of quite a few other campers who felt the same and also many of the Hoburne staff thought it was a bad move. To be fair the camping field and it's facilities had been neglected over the years and it was probably a case of invest or get rid.
Anyhoo. I bumped into a guy I know in town today who, until a couple of years ago, worked at the site on the maintenance team. Apparently the word around the campfire is that a field has been cleared ready to take tourers and campers again. It'd been hoped to open for this summer but looks likely to be next year now.
Anybody heard or know anything concrete about this?
