Apart from wild camping the nearest site to Braemar I think would be Ballater which is around 15 miles away.
After Ballater towards Aberdeen there are lots of sites but around Braemar just the one that you mentioned that I am aware of.

Wild camping - but that means no loos. Walkhighlands has an old (2010?) thread https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4901 which lists several places where tents are often seen.
Otherwise, I agree with VangoMan.
------------- 2025=3 sites, 5 nights; 2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Aboyne is between Banchory and Ballater, but is 27 miles from Braemar. Braemar is great for walking and the castle is also worth a visit. The village hasn't got a lot, but now the totally refurbished Fife Arms has reopened, the place will become much busier with coach tours.
A former shop in the "main street" received planning permission for conversion to a pub, but I'm not sure how that has progressed.
------------- Two drifters off to see the world.
I'm tired of reality, so I'm off to look for a good fantasy.
