We like quiet sites where you’re not all lined up in a row and you’re nestled in the trees. Fforest Fields is fab too because of the lake for swimming and kayaking and the feeling of space/beautiful views.
What other sites are like that? We’re staying at Fforest Fields in the summer and are looking to tag on another week somewhere else, preferably on the west side of England.

Have a look at camping in the forest 15 sites dotted about the uk.

Have been to Scotland ones, really good, great layouts, not at all regimented. Glenmore is great.
Id imagine their other sites would be similar

Thanks. I live near the New Forest and camp at Setthorns a fair bit. The Forest of Dean one, being the only one outside the New Forest, looks more regimented.

What sort of facilities do you need? There is a lovely site called The Leen at Pembridge, Herefordshire but it only has 1 loo and a washbasin.
I’d probably want a shower tbh. We do stay on CS/CL sites but looking for a little bit more for a week’s holiday. Thanks though.
