Side Farm, Patterdale, Ullswater, Cumbria

Evening folks -has anyone any reviews for this Site? From what we've seen the reviews have been mixed, some say it's good and others not so good. Can anyone advise?

I have not camped there but I know the area well.
The site is in a great location but a bit uneven, and the track from Patterdale to Side Farm is rough.
Keep an eye on the level of the lake as the track sometimes gets flooded.

Just looked it up, one review states 'rates are reasonable, £40 for 2 nights plus car', that would put me off for a start!

Are you a member of the Camping and Caravanning Club Eddie? If you plan to camp several times a year it may be worth it, then you can use their Certified Sites (CSs), which would work out much cheaper, you can use the filters to find out which ones have loos and showers (not all do).
