Hi,
Just wondered if anyone could advise me as to where we might get a campsite this bank holiday weekend.
Looking for something for just myself and my wife and the dog, a medium size tent with hookup for 3 nights from Friday night and as we are working until 5pm on the Friday, something within an hour and a half drive from Kendal.
Would prefer North Yorkshire area, but would do Lancashire and even the lakes, although as we are from Kendal, we have done the lakes lots of times and know how busy it is in the lakes at this time.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Thanks, though even most of those sites don’t actually have availability when you look at them...?

If you don't get a pitch in Yorkshire, head north. We don't have this bank holiday in Scotland and our schools go back tomorrow (19 Aug), so I don't think you'd have a problem getting in on a Dumfriesshire site, which is within your specified time distance.
