Myself and my partner of 21 years are a gay male couple, Currently working as wardens on a caravan park for the season. And we are now looking for a more permanent position as full time wardens for at least 10 months per year. We both have a lot of experience from setting up the office to closing down at end of day. using the computer booking system, siting guests, cleaning, groundwork, on call duties. We are happy to work in pretty much any environment, Adults only, Family sites, Naturists. our current position ends on October 31st 2019 and so we will be available to start pretty much any time after that, Although we will need to take 1 month out to return to our home in Spain in order to tie up loose ends and sell our Spanish registered car. Thanks Ratty, We have actually seen them and applied for one, But was looking for some advice as we are new and it would be our 1st posting. We would obviously like to know how other people/couples find it.

Be very careful and do your checks on the site owners. I am still waiting for my August pay and we are now into October. Small claims court is next step. If you find a site with a good health and safety ethos it will put you in good stead as at least they are showing commitment.

Make sure your position is clearly defined and your hours worked are paid for rather than being expected to work for all hours but only being paid for some.

I enjoy the work but you need to make sure you get a contract of employment and the length of season that you are expected to work is also clearly defined.

What about the two main Clubs? They might not be able to match the exact 10 month requirement but I suspect it might be down to whether it was on a permanent site or as relief wardens.
