Hi, we are looking for a break away on norfolk broads on 8th may 2020. However we would really like to pitch up next to the broads if possible to watch the boats going past. Would any of you know a site that has this kind of outlook.
Thankyou.

yes a site at chedgrave, I think its a cs. its part of a boat yard, another would be hippersons at beccles , again its a boat yard but you can hire the boats there too
You dont say what sort of rig you want a pitch for. Some that are right on the broads only take tents. if this what you want have a look at Whitlingham Broad which has the added bonus of being on the edge of Norwich, incase you fancy a bit of sightseeing or shopping. Reedham ferry Inn has a campsite, a bit in the middle of nowhere. I have never used either of these for stays. Have used Whitlingham park no end of times and Reedham ferry pub.
By the way Beccles is in suffolk.
------------- Just saying
If all is not lost where is it then?
I wouldn't recommend reedham ferry site, facilites are appauling, the site is below river level and floods quickly, and the way the site is run from start to finnish is terrible, we made the mistake of booking for last year, but so glad we cancelled it, and went elsewhere, we did have a drive to see and yes our concerns where justified. yes I know beccles is in Suffolk, I offered that idea as it fits with the posted request

Womack water CL overlooks Womack staithe and Broad, nice seated area with lots of Moorings and casting off on the Green by the boats. Small shop and council toilet block, and a short walk from Ludham village with its Pub, Butchers, convenience store and beautiful old Church.

I can't think of one better and ideal if they are caravan club members
There is also the CMC Norfolk broads site at Ludham Bridge on the River Ant, popular with fishing enthusiasts and boaters alike. Barn Owls hunt over the marshes and Otters can be spotted swimming and on the river bank at times. Hire boat yard and canoe launch at the bridge also.
Tent campers also welcome at The Dog inn further up the road, with their small basic Paddock site.
