Can you help me find a campsite in south Devon for 2 adults, caravan, car, 2 well behaved dogs in May 2020? I don't know Devon at all and have been looking for a campsite for a while. I am a member of C&CC but it doesn't have to be one of theirs. I find their pricing method difficult to understand and I need to keep the price relatively low as we do a lot of camping each year.
Thank you for reading this/helping.
Peter

I presume you've looked on here?
I've never camped in that area but have had a number of cottage holidays in the Start Bay area, which we like very much.
If you live in Spain you may want a Spanish style site but they are rare in Devon.
If you want somewhere smart and well equipped have a look at Ross Park. If you want a more rural location looking down to the sea at Hope Cove you may prefer Karrageen. Both have reviews and photos.
But if saving money is your prime objective then there are three sites in South Devon where you can present an ACSI card and pay the equivalence of 18 euros outside the main summer season - just as you would in Spain. They are in the ACSI site guide, website and app which you probably have.

My suggestions are below but you will need to check regarding dogs.
South Devon, Galampton Touring Park. Great views of the river Dart as per the website but obviously not from all pitches. I have reviewed it on here. Prices have gone up considerably since we booked. Well away from Brixham and probably need a car or to use the local steam trains. Pub walkable in the the village.
North Devon (West coast) near Cornwall. Willow Valley. Small campsite very close to Bude. Also reviewed on here by me.
Can't suggest any CCC sites. When I looked into our family going we had a 'jumbo pitch' and 'non-members fees' which made the price come out something silly like £90 a night for 2 adults and 3 children. I thought was a bit much for posh grass!!
