Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
When you read their T&C's does it say anything about when they cancel your booking? bet it doesn't, seems it's all about when you have to cancel.
We had a full refund of deposit from the site we were meant to be going to at end of May, they announced they were shutting, however they did take an admin fee of £25 from some, I queried it saying THEY were cancelling our booking and hey presto got full refund.
Seems harsh to take all of deposit, think you should get some if not all back.

Force Majeure will be the usual contract clause to cover this.
Force majeure refers to a clause that is included in contracts to remove liability for natural and unavoidable catastrophes that interrupt the expected course of events and restrict participants from fulfilling obligations. ... Force majeure is a French term that literally means "greater force.".
That's bad when the whole country is in lockdown. We were due to do the NC500 in Scotland for the first time and as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. We had several campsites booked, a couple of Air Bnb's and hotel for the journey home to break our journey. So far, the campsites that have cancelled have been brilliant and we've already had deposits refunded. We are obviously planning to reschedule (prob May or June 2021) and we will be rebooking with those campsites.

From their Website
"We are asking you, our wonderful customers, to defer holidays until later in the year, even into 2021, rather than ask for refunds. You can hold balances as credits for a time which you feel is right."
