Hi. Am a happy camper in a trailer tent. Considering a caravan but one that is sited on a pitch for a year or annually for family to use as well as us. How do people go about this? How much does it cost on average to have an annual pitch? Pros and cons? Thanks campers xx
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Hiya, you can search for sites with Seasonal Pitches from here and use the Enquiry forms on the listings to ask about availability, prices, season length, etc.
I have no direct experience but it has to be similar to a touring pitch that you’re familiar with, in that popular areas are likely to cost more. Sites with more facilities are likely to cost more. The big businesses with multiple sites seem to charge tourers more (in my experience). So have a think about where you want to go every weekend in the summer, and what facilities you’re ideally looking for, to focus the search that Ratty suggests. Good luck - there’s plenty of choice.
Site and store, could be an option many of these sites have a pull out and put on pitch { for a small fee ) so other members of your family who may not have a tow bar can use it. I have a motor mover fitted to caravan so it will move itself. Cost effective as you only pay for storage annually, and pitch when using it.
