heard a radio interview with two campsite owners, but didnt catch the area or names.
one had ploughed all last years profits into a new toilet and shower block, fully expecting to have paying visitors from march. he has now run out of money and is looking at bankruptcy.
another keeps getting offers loans by the bank, but fails at the last hurdle because he cannot specify when repayments can start as he doesnt know when he can open.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I think its fair to say that most businesses in the UK have and will continue to be looking for financial help and not just the tourism sector.
You also have to remember some areas are two weeks behind the south in relation to when they got the virus.
So as you would expect they will be a couple of weeks behind with opening campsites, hotels etc. That is of course if the numbers keep falling, which again makes sense.
------------- It is a wise man who has something to say.
It is a fool who has to say something.
I think they have looked at the scenes on Englands beaches and parks and the moorland fires from BBQs and wondered how to prevent that in Wales when they open up again.

see, the impression you get is that wales is locked down, that everyone is at home. that absolutely is not the case. people are still out cycling for miles and miles, walking their dogs/kids/grandparents. people are still shopping. colwyn bay was rammed last week before the weather broke and the shopping centers around wrexham were as busy as usual with cars. the 5 mile rule is laughed at and generally ignored. i have a mate in west wales, and his nearest supermarket is 16 miles away. its business as usual in wales unless you ask the welsh press.....

I was thinking more of the tons of litter and mess left behind on beaches and popular spots. No public toilets - you can igine whats left behind.
