Hello all, I am after a bit of local knowledge in the Harmans Cross area.
Just before the village hall there is a track leading to a campsite. I wonder if anyone on here has used this site and kept the information. I can't seem to find any info about this site in the guide book. It has 5 hook-up pitches and the rest of the field is for camping. No sign at the entrance on Google Maps.

Thanks for that but sadly not the one. This site is just before the railway bridge so as you turn right into the track to the site, the village hall is on your left. The site is gated at the end of the track, it has a small shower block and loos in the form of a converted container. Real nice pleasent people who own the site, just can't seem to find them. Maybe they have given up but I know they spent a fortune for the electric and drains.
Harmans Cross station runs along the bottom of the field.

Looks as if it was Harman's Cross Camping Park, but is now permanently closed. https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=12367

Yep, thats the one. Thanks for that, don't know how you found it, I spent 3 hours searching.
That is really sad news, one of the best sites I have been on, could even manage to get to the station for Swanage. Back to the drawing board.

Yes, Woodyhyde is a little nearer to Corfe Castle and I almost suggested it as an alternative until I noticed the OP has a caravan, which the site doesn't take (I imagine because of the restricted access under the railway bridge) and yes, it is a lovely area, with a good selection of sites.

Primrose Hill Farm "We are not taking any new bookings". Thank you anyway.
We are now going to the Exmouth area, also, thank you Bob.

I thought you might like to know the ending of this thread. It seems that the owner of the site sold the land and the new owner will level off the field.
Pity because it was our favourite site, you never know, he just might turn it into a super site.
