We have just had a week at Morris site at Ludlow to check our van out and get away!
Big pitches so no distancing issues, we paid online and just collected barrier key on arrival.
We used our own loo most of the time but found shower block empty most evenings later on.
Facilities were spotless and deep cleaned daily, only one person allowed in the shop at a time. Sanitizer was available and people were using masks from Friday.
We enjoyed it, thanks to the friendly and helpful team for their hard work.
Couple of weeks and off again down south.

We're now on our first site and I'm very impressed. All facilities open, copious handsanitising stations, change to paper towels rather than hand dryers and disinfectant available. Being cleaned 3x daily. Hand sanitiser at all water points. One person in laundry/shop, playground open. Feel as safe as we could be.
We live quite near to Love2stay in Shrewsbury and went the other day to have a look at their facilities. We get our MH in 2 weeks and were contemplating going to this site as our first trip. The cafe is open and you can sit outside (some outside tables under cover). Kids were on the lake canoeing. There were loads of kids in the playground area all playing together. I didn’t think play areas could be opened up yet. People lying around the outdoor pool. Toilets open (not sure about showers.
We are at our third CAMC site this month. Everything is fine for us. I have noticed that all the children are mixing/ cycling and hanging out together with no social distancing.
This site is full.160 pitches, it really does annoy me that so many people with modern caravans and motorhomes are queuing up at the showers.
And some of them whinging about it too.
Some are showering before they go to bed instead of in the morning, to avoid queing.
Anyway, we feel perfectly safe, easy to do the 2m thing.

I've been using my own facilities in my caravan. But I must say I would use the site toilets if I wanted to without feeling bad about it, they are there for all customers who pay.
I think it’s the queue that’s the issue not the risk, which has been minimised.
The washrooms in the MHs that we “paid for” aren’t something we can opt out of. (And it’s where our golf clubs are stored.) We choose not to use our toilet except in emergency because emptying it is my very least favourite chore. I think others in this thread have said something similar.
We’ve stayed in a number of sites in Peak and Lake Districts and Forest of Bowland and all those with facilities had them open bar one, and were very well cleaned etc as well as having extra sanitiser at the door, and in some cases restrictions on numbers.
Despite sites being generally busy we never had to queue.
The only site with facilities not open was, surprise surprise, the Camping and Caravan club site at Kendal. Can’t figure out why they weren’t as, along with pre booking and payment only allowed and shop not open I’m sure they could have opened them with a bit more of a can do attitude!!
I wonder if the C&CC cant get people to do such a short term contract, and their sites seem to run with 2 couples - if theyre a couple short, closing the facilities reduces the work? (Im guessing) Whereas independent sites are often run by the owners, whose time isn’t counted the same way. Half the Scottish C&CC sites wont reopen at all until 2021, even ones that are normally full. But theres only 2 months of the main season left.
Oops. Wish I hadnt written that. Just 2 months.....

Paid for facilities so every right to use them,we will be doing when we go away September 😉
I am sure the upkeep of the facilities is all included in the cost of the pitch as far as the campsite owner is concerned, but what you actually pay for on most campsites is the pitch, a unit, a car and normally two people (or variations of the same). The facilities are provided regardless. I am sure you would pay the same price if there were no facilities.
As I have said on these boards before, why risk the possibility, no matter how slight, of catching or passing the virus by using public facilities when you have your own...it doesn't seem sensible to me.
If/when I feel safe enough to go camping again I will take a porta-loo with me as I value my health and life, and those of other campers, far more than worrying about whether I might not be getting something I have paid for within the camping tariff.
We are currently on site and I have to say I’m very impressed. There’s hand sanitizer beside each communal area, the showers have a system where only 3 admitted for toilet and 3 for showers at a time and we haven’t had to queue at all.
We’ve been using our own toilet much more and brushing teeth at tent. But other than that is pretty much as normal. The beach has been much quieter than I expected.
All in all I’m very happy that we stuck with our plans.
