Use the Site Search to narrow down the number of sites (because yes, there are hundreds) - we have to tick for taking a dog but you might want a “no dogs” Site. We need EHU, you might not.
I agree, you may have to do a bit of work to find somewhere - click on the UKCS link to the site’s own website & then use their online booking system to check availability.
For what it’s worth, the Slingsby CCC Site was ok - but we don’t have children (assume you do, as you mention half term).
Great site at Ingleton, twenty minutes walk from the village and the waterfalls. meadow Falls.
Then there's Silloth house and Woodend sites on the Austwick/Helwith bridge road, nicely positioned for walks up Ingleborough.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Just back from N Y moors CC site near Whitby...zero facilities ie,loos / showers on site but loads doing in area though ,whitby, robin hoods bay, scarborough, moors, pickering steam railway etc & if you are into walks or cycling offroad its ideal.
It’s our half term here this week, they go back tomorrow. The OP joined UKCS to ask for ideas, wonder if we’ll ever hear where they went? I won’t hold my breath!
