Are you planning to stay on a site all the time, or would you be driving your van to and from work etc...?
There is a filter for open all year round camp sites that one can apply when searching for sites using the UKCS search facility.
You can forget C&CC club sites as they only allow a maximum of 14 days on a pitch. Not sure if they would allow one to stay longer by moving to a different pitch though.
Here is the search result threads on living in a caravan for the past 2 years in the Caravan and Caravanning section of this board, worth a look as some of the issues considered also applies to motorhomes and campervans:

Im a London despatch rider Im just tired of paying extortionate rent and having to move home all the time
I parted ways with a long-term partner last year and my whole life was just turned upside down. .i am currently classed as homeless I'm staying with my new partner.
I'm saving quite hard and plan to buy a Luton box van in the spring to convert into a home
I'm not prepared to be at the mercy of anyone else who can make me homeless at my age (62)
So yes Im kinda looking at finding somewhere where I can put down roots if i have to leave for awhile and come back then thats ok
I was told there are sites out there that permit longterm dwelling maybe on private property?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
If you are planning to convert a Luton van then you may have an issue being allowed onto campsites as many will only accept “proper” campervans & motorhomes ie not ones that look like home converted vans. There is also a rule that campsites can only allow 28 day stays at a time but not necessarily a problem if you have different sites you can move around to.
Also bear in mind that cheapest sites are usually well over £100pw. You may do a deal with a site owner who will bend the rules & let you stay longer or find a friend who will let you park in their garden. Plenty do live full time in caravans & motorhomes so it is certainly doable but you need to understand what is possible & what is not. With a converted van it might be more viable to “stealth camp” ie by trial & error discover a number of suitable parking places & move yourself around.
