Hi I would really appreciate some recommendations as I am keen to make a looking for this summer.
We are a family of 4 (kids are 17 and 13) plus an elderly lab - very well behaved. Realistically we may also be looking at some tag alongs - eg. son's girlfriend and possibly a pal for my daughter. Normally, we would pick a nice dog friendly site in a area that is good for walking and cycling. However I think we need to make it a bit more "teen-friendly" so we can leave at least the older couple to amuse themselves. My rough criteria would be:
- somewhere in the south of england where it is warmer than scotland!
- bonus would be site beside a beach or to have its own swimming pool
- site to have either a shop or village you can walk to so we can sometimes leave the teens and they would have their own things to do
- site near a bar would also be good.

We have been to Cornwall before and loved it. So thought maybe Devon or Dorset. I have found 2 sites that I think would suit us. They are expensive at £50+ a night but that might be the going rate this year I suspect. Are there any other sites that people would recommend please? Or any other suggestions for how to holiday with teenagers and survive lol

Options have found are:

Beverly Holidays in Paignton
https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1428

Ladram Bay near Dawlish (might be a bit too remote for teens though)
https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2817

Thanks in advance....

Crofton Holidays in Dawlish may suit, however, it is not cheap!

I'd recommend Trevornick https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=2685.

Look at Yeatheridge Farm in Devon. No need to even leave the site.

Neither of your choices for me, I am afraid. Just saying it as a local.

Have a gander at The River Dart Country Park. Dartmoor on your doorstep, and more beaches than you can shake a stick at within an hour.

Good luck, I sincerely hope your wishes come true. Just bare in mind, the Westcountry will be heaving if the kids are home!

I can recommend Cromer camping in Norfolk, it's in a great location only 10 mins walk from beach , shops, pubs and restaurants. It is a back to basics campsite( that's what we like) so no electric hook up but it's great value for money £15pn. We've booked this campsite https://treaclevalley.co.uk/ for August this year as there's a good choice of beaches. Good luck and happy camping!

Ladram Bay is not near Dawlish. It's the opposite side of the river Exe and probably 20 miles -plus away be car.

Have you thought about North Devon - Four great beaches Woolacombe, Putsborough, Saunton and Croyde. Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park, Ilfracombe resort.
