Could anyone recommend a nice quiet campsite (we've got a big family tent) near a beach where you can surf/body board in Wales please?
Hoping to do two weeks in the summer (Covid permitting) and are thinking of one week on the coast and then one inland with beautiful walks and maybe castles (2 teenage children to keep happy), so any recommendations for either would be gratefully received. Thank you.

There's a site right across the road from Newgale beach - not what you'd call quiet, I suppose, as in that location it'd be very popular, but within a stone's throw of the sand.

Always edited for sloppy typing - when I spot it!

Hello, KTJC I think you’ve ready been recommended some sites but the one nears Hells Mouth I’m told is great, nothing exciting about the facilities, but the location is ideal.
Just be careful though, because of Covid, we’ve had our Easter and Whit break cancelled by the campsites as we’re from England and Wales isn’t fully opening yet, the owners decided that it would be easier for them not to open until later in the year, shortening their season sadly. My 25 night break in Wales at Brongwyn Campsite is still on at the moment but again no access to onsite facilities, and no certainty that they will be allowed to reopen.
Good luck with your camping holidays, and here’s hoping the holiday season for campers will be a good one.

Rather belated, but thank you Gabriels gran for your warning about when Wales might open their campsites.
I've been wondering if it's ok to book, especially as we just have a tent, no facilities. We're hoping to go in the school summer holidays but it still seems a bit of a risk.
Maybe I should try to find somewhere in England? Really keen to go to Wales though!
What are others (who need access to facilities)doing about booking campsites in Wales for the summer?
Thank you again

Just wondering if anyone has a link to guidance that confirms Welsh campsites with facilities can't open until the end of July. I googled and couldn't find anything. Just a bit concerned as we have a few nights in North Wales booked at the start of June. Thanks!

We have a few nights booked at a CL in Monmouthshire in May, they took my booking with no problem, but if we can't go will stay elsewhere.
