anyone know if the c&cc are still honouring the 5% vat rete, and is this already applied on their website ?
just booked Mablethorpe for end of April, and my total price was £79 ,
paid £25 deposit, so dunno if i will get a reduction at campsite ,or if it is already applied.
cant find nothing on website

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
If you booked online then the price displayed is what you pay so any reduction in VAT rates I assume will be incorporated in the price (if there is any). I've just booked one of their club sites for June which requires a £25 deposit and the remainder paid on the day of arrival but nothing else.
The CMC was doing the 5% VAT rate last year but it was still pricing it as full VAT on the web-site pricing, they reduced the price on arrival as you paid. I can only assume the C&CC will do a VAT reduction too.

yes thanks, ive also booked a C&MC, site and they dont take deposits, and vat reduction is applied when you pay on arrival , that is made clear on the website.
but not a thing on the C&CC website

As G#Winger says, surely this is one of the BEST reasons why you should use the "other" club
I changed because they would not let me book a one night stay over a weekend ! As using a motorhome, sometimes we only want a break on a long journey, but can't be done with the c&cc if it is during a weekend. Surely these clubs SHOULD be listening to the needs of their members !

As I'm a tenter, the "other club" has too few sites for me but the final nail in the coffin for the ccc was when I finally got my Mum into respite after three years of 24/7 caring and I wanted to meet up with family down south, that meant a single overnight stopover involving a Friday night.
