A few weeks ago I booked the CCC site at Boroughbridge, the club have rung and cancelled my booking, saying that there are outstanding works to be done!
They have been closed for over a year. Anyone know why my booking has been cancelled?

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
The site’s webpage says the toilets & showers are closed until 17 May but that might be the English Covid restrictions? which I’m not familiar with.
Frustrating though!

You may have answered your own question when you say the site has been closed for over a year. It's probably still closed and not reopening anytime soon due to more work needing to be done. Probably the question you should be asking is "why did they accept your booking?"

The contractors most likely provided a date when the work would be completed, that's why the C&CC accepted your booking. Then the situation could have changed possibly with the contractors saying that the work wouldn't be completed by that date for reasons such as bad weather, mechanical breakdown or being under staffed due to workers having to go home with Covid-19 symptoms. It's not rocket science to understand what businesses have endured during this pandemic but at the end of the day they did say exactly why the booking was cancelled so I can't understand why it's so difficult to understand.
