Sad news about Park Farm.
I moved away from the South-West some years ago and was quite a regular weekender there.
It had been a popular campsite for many years and was a favourite among cavers and hill walkers going back to the seventies.
I remember the farmer coming around on his horse to collect the fees.
You could get the best double Yolkers from the egg barn too.
Some of my old pals had static caravans on there and are really sad to be leaving.
End of an era!

Terrible news. I wasn't aware until I saw this thread but this is one of my favourite campsites. I was introduced to it by friends who have been using it for over 20 years.
Seems closure date is 1 September so a chance to enjoy some more visits although they'll be tinged with sadness.

I got this news from a friend who has a static caravan at Park Farm. I think he has been asked to remove the van before the end of this August.
There are other sites in the area and I have a pal who used to use the Pencelli castle site on the other side of Talybont.
Park Farm was friendly and informal and handy for the pub in Llangatock.
What a shame.

where is this info please?
Peridot are you the same one who goes to Green Man?
Hi Poppy9560,
I have tried replying a number of times but having difficulty posting on UK Campsite ..
The only additional information I could find outside this thread was on the Facebook 'Crickhowell Notice Board' where it was suggested that it is a wider family matter affecting the use of the land as a campsite. If you search 'Park Farm' on there you'll see some posts relating to it.
Yes, I am also Peridot on the Green Man forum. I really missed it last year. Do you think it will happen this year? I hope so but it seems a big leap from where we are now.
