Hello wondered if anyone knows of a very quiet peaceful site around North Wales. I'm hoping to get a touring caravan to leave on a seasonal pitch. It has to be within easy reach by train and bus from Manchester. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Sorry that I can’t help with specific site recommendations but I do know that busses in north Wales are few and far between so you would be best to look at places that can be reached from the north Wales railway line from Chester to Bangor and then over to Anglesey. Betws-y-Coed might also be an area worth checking as there is a train branch line that runs from Llandudno junction down through there. However, we were looking for a seasonal pitch around north Wales a while back and all the sites we found were full and had long waiting lists. Good luck with your search.
Thanks Pixie, yes I agree, I’m wanting a site around Tudweiliog on the Llyn peninsula but it would take me 9 hours to get there by train and bus!! I can drive but not driven for years as I cycle everywhere now, but not to Wales!! Think I may get some refresher lessons, I’ll find it hard without driving I think. Thanks again Pam
Thanks again, I’m just looking at prices of pitches and touring caravans seems there’s a lot of sellers just taking advantage of the situation we are in at the moment, I’m waiting now until next season or even 2023, it’s so mean how they’re upping prices. I started looking 18 months ago suppose I can wait, the market will be drowning in them after this is all over.
Sorry to hear about the price hike for sites for your caravan .
I suppose this was going to happen .
There are probably some remote farm sites that charge reasonable
prices .
But you need bus and train services nearby and local to the site.
