hi are there any members with a boot jump ?
Do you use any of the clubs CCC AND OR CM.
Have you had problems with membership or been refused entry on any sites
any tips would be great.
I have had a stroke so sold my caravan and changed to a boot jump to have fun

I had to google what a ‘boot jump’ was. Ingenious! I think there are threads on “car camping”, which would have advice. Unless you’re wanting the small Certificated places, there’s no need to limit yourself to club sites: masses of excellent independent sites.
And I think for C&CC you’d have to join as either tent, trailer tent, caravan or motor home. And yours is not a MH by the DVLA definition. If you add a drive away awning, you might be a tent member? But I’m guessing.
Looks like fun though, and I wish you many happy trips in your outfit.
We're in our third year of using a boot jump now and are Camping+Caravanning Club members. The first year we didn't sleep in it (had to bring the big tent anyway, so used the boot jump as a day van) so we were 'car plus tent' - fine. Last year we continued to book with C&CC as car plus tent and one site didn't like that, they said we should have booked two pitches. This year we booked in as 'campervan plus awning', intending to use a new Cinch Hub popup snug against the side of the van as our awning so that we would count as a single unit. Sadly our booking was cancelled a couple of weeks back when various C&CC campsites shut, and there were no other C&CC sites within range with pitches still available, so we'll never know if the van+awning description would have met with approval!
With independent sites, I have contacted them to describe our unit before booking and they have all been fine with it. Mostly they tend to charge per pitch, so I suppose they don't care what you put on it as long as it's within the size limit. One site we'll be visiting in a few weeks charged us as campervan plus backpacker tent.
If there are just one or two of you I'd definitely recommend calling yourself just 'campervan plus awning'. Our problem comes because there are three of us, so one unlucky person doesn't fit in the van each night!
I hope you have many successful outings in your boot jump - they are great bits of kit!
