Not sure if it would fit your idea of basic, but Ty Isaf on a working farm near Bala has seasonal pitches (at least it did before lockdown, haven't checked lately!). It also does winter storage. I had a part share in a caravan there for a couple of years. We looked at a few seasonal sites and chose this one because, though it wasn't manicured or landscaped like the others there was plenty of elbow room on a flat field with pleasant views and we felt comfortable there. The facilities block was a bit tired, but clean with lots of hot water.
