I found our first visit to FfF without Bailey very emotional. The first time I walked down to the lake on my own though I felt he'd sent me a message to let me know he was still with us, there was a tennis ball floating in the lake but nobody to be seen. People may think I'm daft but this has happened three times now, also at another campsite there was a tennis ball on the pitch when we arrived and also on holiday in Blackpool, walking along the prom!
As much as we loved our visits to FfF, we have found a couple of sites not so far away that we love equally and with the added bonus they are adult only. We will return at some point but it will be once I have retired and we can go when all the kiddiwinks are at school!
I know what you mean!
The first trip without Borda took place shortly after his death and before I had Bean, and I cried every time I saw someone with a dog.
I walked up to the other end of a big field and sat on the bench over looking the field and campsite on my own and sobbed when I recalled the good times we had at this field and campsite. It was very hard.
I'd like to believe he knows he is forever in my heart and never forgotten, along with his dad, both across the rainbow bridge high up in the sky, looking down and smiling at us.

I'm certain they are both looking down with love and also approval that you are giving another lovely soul Bean the opportunity to share your life and adventures 💖 Borda had such adventures with you after the loss of his human. Memories are everything, memories from Fforest Fields are very special for both of us. One thing is certain, we will make many new memories with the new special dogs in our lives, while never forgetting those who's tails still beat in our hearts 🙂
