Looking for some advice on a good child friendly campsite that accepts trailer tents.
Basically we would like somewhere where you camp around a central play area/field so our son can be seen as so many places it's a walk to the play area and often not safe for him to go on his own.
Site needs to also be dog friendly and have really good shower block ideally with a family shower unit.
Looking for one in England or Wales as Scotland is a bit to far.
Many thanks 😊

If you like the Yorkshire Dales, we went to Orcaber Farm campsite a few weeks ago and it was great. Definitely child and dog-friendly, and the toilet and shower facilities are brilliant.

You have a great one not far away on the outskirts of Weston Super Mare. It's called Woolsbridge Manor Farm, and it's one of the best we have ever stayed on. It fits you criteria perfectly, except I'm not sure it has a family shower unit. The toilet and shower block was superb anyway, and the owners were lovely when we went there in 2019.
Several fields most with caravans around edges leaving centre free. Also football field and indoor swimming pools, fishing lake and horse riding.
Lovely walks for dogs.

Hi all, thanks for the replies so far. Weston super mare is a tad close but site does look nice. Yorkshire one looks good but doesn't look like it has a playground on site which is one of the main criteria.
Sadly last one looks amazing but toilet block just to far for us to walk to if down the bottom. Also seems to be all about the pool and our son isn't a great swimmer.
Keep the suggestion coming 👍
There's a fenced off play area (more a field with football goals though). However, the site is immaculate and the toilets and showers were refurbished a year or two ago. The pitches are also a great size and arranged around smaller fields, where the children play in the middle. You can also walk to Llanbedrog beach from the campsite.
Our daughter (now 8) has made some friends every time we've been there. We were always trying to find campsites with playgrounds too, but it doesn't always guarantee that your child will have a better time. Sometimes it's nice for you to sit outside the tent with a cuppa/glass of wine and watch your child having fun playing with other kids.
