Hello all, I am just wondering what folk think is a reasonable charge per night for a tent pitch in a uk campsite with basic facilities for a family of say 2 adults and 2/3 kids in high season. Clearly this depends a location etc but I am just looking for feel/ ball park figures as, ignoring inflation, over the years I have paid a massive range of prices in various locations so I am just curious what others think.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
In a VW Campervan with no hookup, I paid £13 for 2 adults last night on the outskirts of St Ives, Cambridge, however tomorrow I will be in Hertfordshire and paying £30 for the same amount of people and with no hookup.
Ok the facilities are slightly better at the site I am going to tomorrow, but not that I can see a £17 difference worth. But I am meeting friends.
Sometimes I pay £10 per night, sometimes I pay £20.
One site I enquiried with for a pitch in August wanted £54.50 for just me in my campervan with no electric - ha ha yeah right, they have lost my business, I would expect a fillet steak and chips to be thrown in at that price!!
