Hi
Looking for a smallish campsite, near decent surfing beach that allows dogs in high season, in late June or early July next year before school holidays. For caravan and awning. Don’t need, or want, club, pool or any sort of entertainment. Need toilets, showers and hook up.
Don’t particularly mind which bit of Cornwall.
Thanks

-------------
Amanda

You will be best to look at the North coast, Perranporth, Bude for dog friendly beaches. Here on the south coast dogs are allowed up to 10am and after 6pm on most beaches. Cornwall Council list all the beacbes on their website. High season on most sites is the last 2 weeks of July and all of August Watch out for the sites which charge £2 or more per night for dogs, an annoying extra cost.

Look up sites around St Merryn on the north coast -Trewithen Farm is one but there are others. It’s near Padstow and the crowds will be shuffling around the harbour, but outside the the town there’s a string of beaches where there is space and dogs are allowed all year round - Constantine Bay, Boobys Bay, Harlyn Bay, Harbour Cove and so on.

You could have a look at Trevarrian Holiday Park, Mawgan Porth. The site is family owned (same family for about 50 years) does have a small club on site not too busy at the time you are planning to visit. Its between Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth beaches. Mawgan Porth certainly allows dogs, I think Watergate bay did but not 100%.

The other site is Higher Trevaskis Caravan and Camping Park, Hayle. Lovely site family owned who are very friendly. It's close to Gwithian Beach which is dog friendly not sure about how good the surf is though.

Gwithian Beach has two surf schools, and a Surfcam. Dogs allowed eve and early morning on centre section.

We regularly use Gwithian Farm, which is a short walk to the beach.
