I assume you’ve read the reviews here. It’s a lovely quiet site, not in Kelso itself but in Town Yetholm. Kirk Yetholm (on the other side of the valley) is at the end of the Pennine Way. St Cuthbert's Way runs along the valley floor from Melrose to Lindisfarne. So there’s plenty of local walking, if you enjoy that.
When we went, we chose our pitch from what was available, with helpful advice from the owner. It’s a small site, terraced into the side of the valley. You’ll have beautiful sunny views across the valley to the Cheviot hills if you take a pitch at the top, near the former church at the entrance. If you’re at the bottom of the site, you’ll be behind trees, with no views and more shaded in the evening.
I don’t know if you’re in a MH or caravan or tent, but if you’re able to move easily, I’m sure you could discuss taking a different pitch when it’s vacated. We’ve done that before.
There are small shops for the basics in the village, a huge supermarket at the roundabout on the edge of Kelso. Floors Castle at Kelso is well worth visiting, especially the gardens.
Hope that helps.

I have never stayed there but I live about 5 miles away. It is in a nice village with a good pub that serves meals and is right on the end of the Pennine Way so is very good for walking. Some friends of mine stayed there regularly for many years until they retired from caravanning and they loved the site.
