Hi there going to Portsmouth this year in June. We have a motorhome. We like to be beside the sea and have often stayed at Marinas. Portsmouth doesn’t seem to offer this facility. Can anyone recommend a site near to dockyard. We have a dog and would need to leave it in motorhome or put in kennels when visiting the boats. Obviously we don’t want to leave him all day shut up in motorhome.

if just for one night , you can overnight at Port Solent by ringing the security number on the boards in the carpark, South sea Marina use to offer emptying facilities for a nominal charge, but no overnighting. parking a MH in Portsmouth itself can be difficult from my experiences with just the DDay museaum and Southsea seafront and possibly if your lucky on road parking.....

There are sites quite close by, Scott's Haven which we didn't like but everyone else did is one.

You may not be aware that Portsmouth now has a Clean Air Zone, it doesn't impact the Continental Ferry Port but it does cover pretty much the rest of the city including the historic dockyard and the IoW ferry.

Your Imala may be exempt but it's a good idea to check here
