We had a great stay at Highburn House a couple of years ago and were planning to book for this year.
I was looking at recent reviews, the ones on this site are good but there are several on another site that say the toilets and showers are not being cleaned regularly.
That was not the case when we stayed before.

Has anyone stayed recently?

Recent UKCS reviews don't mention toilets.   
However reviews on another site say toilets were not cleaned for several days.
I wondered if this was the case, which would surprise me, or if it was that people hadn't seen them being cleaned and didn't realise how quickly floors get dirty on a campsite.
I thought there may be people on this site who had been but not posted a review, perhaps because they had reviewed it before. Also I expect a lot of people will be heading out in the next couple of weeks.

In my reviews, I’d distinguish between dirty toilets, showers & sinks (hygiene, and yes one might expect daily cleaning, or more often at busy times), and dirty floors. It’s very hard to keep floors clean at all times if the grass has just been mown or people have come off the adjacent sandy beach.
Anyway, I hope you have a great trip, and add a review here (and on the other website that you use) to help others choose where to go.

We stay at Highburn house a few times each season and we always find the toilet blocks nice and clean. only time there is any issue is just after the grass is cut. we are going there for the first time this season on the 21st of this month, and the Mrs is looking forward to the extensive gin collection in the Anchor!!
